Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Management minor
Career: Armstrong World Industries Midwest Builder/Property Management Representative

Justin’s Story

Justin Daniels was looking for a college with an accredited business school and one that would give him the opportunity to play baseball. He found both in Viterbo University, and it is a decision that has paid dividends ever since.

“I would definitely recommend Viterbo to aspiring students,” Daniels said. “Viterbo is the place to go if you’re looking for more than a college degree. The professors are outstanding, the student life is exciting, and the education students receive prepares them for life after college. Viterbo gives students the tools to be successful in life, which is what education is all about.”

After earning his business degree, Daniels was hired at Armstrong World Industries, a leading company in the manufacture of floors and ceilings with $2.6 billion in annual sales and 8,700 employees in eight countries. He was stationed in Houston and charged with increasing the company’s residential flooring business and market share in southeast Texas. A year and a half later, he was promoted and transferred to Chicago where today he works to get the company’s products to regional and national builders located throughout the Midwest.

Daniels said he was well prepared for a competitive job market when he graduated.

“In the classroom, we were taught by business professionals who shared unique, real world experiences that led to a better understanding of how classroom material translated into the business world,” he said. “The smaller class sizes at Viterbo allowed me and other students to develop meaningful relationships with faculty. They truly cared about the success of each one of us.”
