Viterbo University offers a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in health care management, preparing future leaders to deal with an increasingly complex environment. Students will gain in-depth knowledge of legal and ethical issues, informatics, quality improvement, marketing and economic aspects of health care. Upon completion of this undergraduate degree, students are qualified to enter a variety of graduate programs, including Viterbo's Master of Business Administration program with a focus in health care management.

Employment of medical and health services managers is expected to grow 16 percent from 2008 to 2018, faster than the average for all occupations. The healthcare industry will continue to expand and diversify, requiring managers to help ensure smooth business operations.

The health care management program offers:

  • a generous transfer credit policy.
  • classes that begin six times per year: August, October, January, March, May and July.
  • the option to attend full time or part time.
  • flexibility with all classes available in the evenings or online in eight-week terms.
  • a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation CouncIl for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)
