FRIDAY, AUGUST 22, 2014

RESIDENT STUDENT CHECK IN. Freshman resident students are checked in for V-Hawk Orientation when they check in to housing facilities.  Bonaventure Hall residents check in at the Student Union.  Marian Hall Residents check in at Hawk’s Nest.  7:30 to 11:30 am    

WELCOME PICNIC LUNCH for New Resident Students and Families. The Caf. 10:30 am to 12:45 pm

COMMUTER STUDENT CHECK-IN. Reinhart Center Lobby. 12:00 to 1:00 pm

WELCOME AND BLESSING CEREMONY.  Main Theatre, Fine Arts Center. 1:00 to 1:45 pm                

FAMILIES DEPART. Families choose location. 1:45 to 2:00 pm                

ORIENTATION BEGINS WITH ORIENTATION TEAM MEETINGS Team Meeting Location provided at Orientation Check In. 2:00 to 2:45 pm                

CLASS OF 2018 PHOTO.  Orientation Leader guides team to Assisi Courtyard photo location. Rain location in Mathy Center. 2:45 to 3:00 pm                 

MEET WITH YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR.  Meeting location sent by e-mail prior to V-Hawk Orientation.Orientation Leaders also have meeting locations. 3:15 to 4:15 pm

ROTATION:  RUN, HIDE, FIGHT AND OTHER SAFETY TIPS, Recital Hall, Fine Arts Center, and BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING, 196 Nursing Center. 9:20 to 10:05 am and 10:00 to 10:55 am

GREAT RIVER FOLK FESTIVAL SATURDAY EVENING CONCERT.  Meet at Clock Tower to walk to Riverside Park. 6:00 pm

ASSISI NIGHT AT THE FRANCISCAN SPIRITUALITY CENTER.  Enjoy Italian treats and conversation. Open to the first 50 who sign up with your orientation leader, Franciscan Spirituality Center, 920 Market St. 7:00 to 8:00 pm                 

RecTATION.  Lively Mathy Center Open House with pizza, sports movie, group fitness classes, intramural registration, and activities on the track and in fitness center and gym.  Also, outdoor activities including a TNT Sand Volleyball Tournament and  fun at the fire pit. 8:00 to 12:00 am
