Getting Ready for Statistics Workshop
The workshop is intended for students who plan on taking Math 130 the Spring 2014 term. There is no additional cost for students.
Details of the workshop are:
Wednesday, January 9, 2014
Noon – 2:30pm
The Nursing Center, Room #101
We also have some on-line
options for those who can’t make it on January 9. The Academic Resource Center web page
provides access to the packet used for the workshop. The packet is found next
to the title “Getting Prepared for Statistics”. It contains some video screen
casts covering each section in the packet. The videos are intended for students
who are not able to travel to the workshop, but anyone can access them. The
workshop will cover the same material, but the presentation and interaction
usually make attending the workshop a bit more worthwhile. In the past,
students have used this packet to gauge whether they feel they need more
assistance and thus should attend the workshop.
Also, we encourage students
who’d like additional tutoring help to go through the Academic Resource Center and
make requests. If enough are interested there can be ways to offer on-line
