I have an Associate of Applied Science from Western Technical College, will my credits transfer?
Yes, all of the credits you earned at Western Technical College will transfer to Viterbo University and apply toward the requirements of this major. This is true for the other Wisconsin technical colleges and any other accredited associate degree program.
What if I have an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a different area, can I apply to this program?
Yes, but you will need to complete or enroll in the following courses (at Western Technical College or Viterbo University): Software Applications (MS Office course taken within the last 5 years). Accounting Information Systems Accounting I and II Cost Accounting I and II Taxation I Governmental of Non-Profit Accounting (or take this course at Viterbo) Business Law I Economics Business Communications
How long will it take to complete my bachelor’s degree?
If you transfer an Associate degree in accounting it will take 2-3 years depending on how many credits you take each semester.
What are the tuition and fees for 2013-2014 school year?
Adult Learning Bachelor Degree Programs: $465 per credit
Military-Ft. McCoy: $330 per credit
Will I be able to take the CPA exam when I am done?
Upon completion of your accounting degree you will have the courses needed to take the CPA exam. All professionals taking this exam need 150 semester hours of education (see the link to the CPA Exam).
What is a blended online program?
Students can complete this program by taking classes by combining the following formats: on campus one night a week during a seven week term online during a seven week term Accounting classes will be offered in a blended online format (during the seven week online class you will come to campus three times)
When can I get started?
Students can apply and enter Fall, Spring or Summer semesters. The Accounting courses will begin each fall semester.
