MUSIC DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Music Talent Scholarships
Every year the Music Department awards $7000 in Music Talent Scholarships to incoming music majors who are not current Viterbo University students. These scholarships are renewable each year of study until graduation, and are awarded in addition to any academic scholarship or financial aid received through the Office of Financial Aid. Prospective music majors who complete an audition by March 15 will be given priority consideration for the Music Talent Scholarships. Incoming students who audition after the priority deadline are eligible for scholarships that have not yet been awarded. These scholarships are renewable provided:
* The student remains a full-time music major at Viterbo. If a student changes majors or leaves Viterbo University, the scholarship is forfeited.
* The student maintains a cumulative CPA of 3.0 in music courses.

Sr. Annarose Glum Music Education Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a music education major (preferably with a piano emphasis) and is chosen by the Music Department faculty. The recipient(s) will be announced at the annual Music Department Honors Recital & Awards Ceremony. Minimum award: $500.

Sr. Antoinette DeLorbe Music Scholarship
 

Amount:

$500 (scholarship may be divided between students)
 

Eligibility:

 

1. Any music major who will be a junior or senior in the coming academic year.
2. Must be in financial need.
3. Must have achieved a B average in music courses.

Applications:

Available after March 2
Due: April 2 (submit to Music Department Chair)
 

Procedures:

 

 

Applications will be reviewed by the Music Department Chair who will compile a list of eligible candidates. A file of applications will be made available to the entire music faculty for recommendations. After a final review, the Music Department will submit a list of not more than four candidates to the Viterbo University Financial Office. This Scholarship will be announced at the annual Music Department Honors Recital & Awards Ceremony.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 

Sr. Marlene Weisenbeck Piano Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a piano major and is chosen by the Music Department faculty. The recipient(s) will be announced at the annual Music Department Honors Recital & Awards Ceremony. Minimum award: $500

Richard Record Music Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an incoming male voice major and is chosen by the Music Department faculty. Minimum award: $500.
