Associate Degree Offerings

Viterbo University offer the associate degree program in both an online format and in a collaborative agreement with Western Technical College (WTC).

 

Policy

A maximum of 12 credits may be accepted as transfer credits into the collaborative associate degree program. A maximum of 70 credits may be taken.


Associate of Arts (online format)
  • program requirements– COMM 150, 211, ENGL 103, 104, 208, 215, ENVS 101, HIST 112, MATH 130, MUSC 109, PHIL 100, 101, PSYC 171, RLST 160, 260, SOCL 125, a VUSM 100 level course, a VUSM 200 level course
  • final degree requirements- 62 total minimum credits  
Associate of Science (online format)
  • program requirements– BIOL 203, COMM 150, 211, ENGL 103, 104, 208, 215, ENVS 101, HIST 112, MATH 130, MUSC 109, PHIL 100, PSYC 171, RLST 160, 260, SOCL 125, a VUSM 100 level course, a VUSM 200 level course
  • final degree requirements- 62 total minimum credits
Associate of Arts (face to face format)
  • program requirements to be completed on the WTC campus– CHEM 101, COMM 150, ENGL 103, 104, MATH 130, PHIL 100, PSYC 171, SOCL 125, three credits of HIST, two courses from the social sciences or foreign language or physical education, the WTC course Leadership Studies Through the Arts (890267)
    Note – prerequisites for any of the above courses must be met prior to enrolling in the course. The above are Viterbo University equivalent courses. The WTC course 890267 will be designated on the Viterbo record as GNST 186.
  • program requirements to be completed on the Viterbo University campus– ENGL 204, PHIL 101, RLST 160, 260, SUST 225, three credits of artistic expression, a VUSM 100 level course, a VUSM 200 level course
    Note – prerequisites for any of the above courses must be met prior to enrolling in the course. The reference to artistic expression is to a course in the Core Curriculum category. Courses taken to satisfy this requirement should be approved for use in the Core curriculum.
