Class Descriptions

Boot Camp 

This is NOT your Mother's workout!! Military style workout that will kick your butt! Experience how to use your body as a machine, for the ultimate fitness experience...Be Prepared!

Butts n' Guts Get ready to take your core workout to the next level with this express butts n' guts class! In 30 minutes, this class will take ideas from many differenct sources taht are sure to tone, sculpt and strengthen your core.

CORE  

 

Is a 30 minute class to get your heart rate up and work your abdominals, obliques, hip flexors, lower back and glutes! This class is designed to help develop or maintain a stable and strong core area. The class will incorporate exercise balls, hand weights as well as work with one's own body weight.

CSI New this fall! CSI stands for Cardio & Strength Intervals. This class includes heart-rate pumping cardio exercises dueled with various strength training movements that are used as an active recovery period. Be ready to sweat!

Late Night Fitness 

Want to mix it up? Or, want to try something new? Offered Thursday nights, each week the class type and instructors will vary. Classes can vary from Total Strength, Book Camp, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba and more! Check the Late Night Fitness schedule for more information.

Step Intervals 

Step Intervals is a cardio class which combines power stepping with intervals of resistance training.

Strength Training 101New this fall! Strength Training 101 is a half hour strength specific class that focuses on building total body strength and endurance, with a concentration on correct technique.
 Tone-N-Tighten (TNT) Tone-N-Tighten develops every major muscle group in an efficiently paced, thirty minute workout. This is a total body strengthening and toning class that uses a variety of resistance options.

Total Strength 

Total strength is 50 class that will give you a full-body workout. Each activity will help you build muscle endurance and strength. Classes will incorporate hand weights, exercise balls, bands and body weight. This is open to everyone- the beginner to the seasoned participant. 

Pilates 

Pilates is a system of muscular strength and flexibility conditioning. This class will challenge the spine in flexion, extension, and (especially) in the neutral position, adding arm and leg movements to help overload the core muscules as well as stimulate improvements.

Yoga 

 In general, yoga is a spiritual practice or discipline that helps the individual unify his/her body, mind and heart.Yoga offers a unique combination of meditation and breathing. The techniques introduced in this class will clear the mind, build energy and endurance, and challenge participants.

Yoga Flow 

Yoga Flow provides a physical journey of flowing movements and controlled breathing while holding routine postures. In addition to being relieved of stress and bring peace to their hearts, minds and bodies, participants will increase heart rate, break a sweat, challenge and tone the muscles.

Yogalates 

Yogalates is another new class we will be offering! Yogalates incorporates the movements and practices of Yoga and Pilates. Pilates is the control of muscles. Exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine as well as strengthen the deep torso muscles. Yogalates combines this with the mat work of Yoga. 

Wake UP Yoga 

Wake up your body and mind with Yoga! Integrates varied yoga styles to improve flexibility, strength and balance. Helps reduce stress and improve breathing.

Zumba 

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.
