College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

CLEP Exams enable students to earn college credit.

At Viterbo, CLEP exams are scheduled individually and are administered Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–4 p.m., and must be completed by 4 p.m.. All CLEP exams are by appointment and are only administered to Viterbo students or students planning to enroll in the subsequent semester. A minimum of one week prior notice should be provided and requests will be accommodated based on availability.

To schedule your exam, contact:
Jane Eddy, Director, Academic Resource Center
jleddy@viterbo.edu or 608-796-3194

Students can register for up to two exams on a test date. CLEP exams consist of 90-minute multiple choice objective tests. Students wishing to take English exams (ENGL 103, 104, British or American Literature) should contact Jane Eddy. Thus, only one English exam may be taken in a day. A completed Pre-registration Form should be sent to Jane Eddy. Students are also required to register at the CLEP website http://clep.collegeboard.org/register/exam before the test date. If you have questions, contact Jane Eddy, Director of the Academic Resource Center, Murphy Center Room 332, Viterbo University, 900 Viterbo Drive, La Crosse, WI 54601, or phone 608-796-3194. Students repeating a CLEP exam must leave six months between test dates.
