Nursing Math Test
Every fall and spring, Viterbo’s math specialist offers a workshop in preparation for the Nursing Math Test that needs to be passed prior to applying to the nursing program. The testing is offered in the weeks following completion of the workshop. Remediation is available when retakes are needed.
Students are encouraged to complete the testing during the fall of their freshman year; however, it can be completed during spring semester. Fall workshops typically begin the third week of classes, and spring workshops begin the second week of classes.
Workshops Cover the Review of:
- Ratios and Proportions
- Conversions among the Metric and Household systems
All students who have declared nursing as their major will have access to the Nursing Math Information Moodle site until they have passed the Nursing Math Test. On that site, students will have access to the link needed to sign up for the workshops and testing, along with access to documents required for the workshop and items to supplement test preparation.
Students will sign up for a six-week series, consisting of the workshop and testing. Students will choose the Monday , Tuesday, or Friday series. If testing is successful prior to the sixth week, the student no longer needs to attend. Dates for Fall 2014 are as follows:
3 - 4:30 p.m.
3 - 4:30 p.m.
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

If students don't pass after the third testing offered, they need to return in the Spring Semester.
