Family Day, in conjunction with PDF iconHistoric Downtown La Crosse Day and Viterbo Days, is an annual event held each fall semester. The Office of Campus Activities invites students' family members to join their students in exploring Viterbo's campus and the downtown La Crosse area, enjoy lunch on campus, and take part in various Viterbo activities, such as chapel tours, choir concerts, soccer games, and more.

Coffee and Conversation with the FSPA (8 – 8:45 a.m., Mathy Center): Meet the Franciscan Sisters and enjoy complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast items. 

Friar Frolic 5k Run/Walk (9 a.m., Franciscan Way): Interested in participating in the Friar Frolic 5k? Visit http://www.viterbo.edu/FriarFrolic5K for more information and registration information. Register in advance to guarantee t-shirt size.

Heritage Walk (9:15 a.m., Mathy Center): Take a leisurely ten-block historic walking tour of the Franciscan neighborhood, guided by Franciscan Sisters.

Kids’ Dash Through Campus (10 a.m., Mathy Center): Children are invited to participate in a child-friendly version of the Friar Frolic. Visit http://www.viterbo.edu/FriarFrolic5K for more information and registration information. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. 

Mary of the Angels Chapel Tour (10:30 a.m., St. Rose Convent): Visit and explore the Mary of the Angels Chapel via a guided tour with a Franciscan Sister.

Family Day Tickets and Information (10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Student Union): Families can pick up reserved Romeo and Juliet tickets and complimentary lunch tickets and receive information on the day’s events.

Viterbo Bookstore Open (10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Student Union): The Viterbo University Bookstore will be open for browsing and shopping.

Free Family Luncheon (11 a.m. – 1 p.m., The Caf): Complimentary Oktoberfest-style lunch tickets are available to family members at the Family Day Tickets and Information table.

Historic Downtown La Crosse Day (11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Various Locations): Take part in the festivities! Carriage rides, music, food, crafts, and more are available for students and family members. Schedules of events are available at the Family Day Tickets and Information table. A shuttle stops every 30 minutes across from Viterbo on 9th and Market Streets between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will take passengers to Downtown La Crosse. Mary of the Angels Chapel Tour (1:30 p.m., St. Rose Convent): Visit and explore the Mary of the Angels Chapel via a guided tour with a Franciscan Sister.

Men’s Soccer Game VS Mt. Mercy (3 p.m., Outdoor Athletics Complex): Cheer on the V-Hawks as they take on the Mustangs at the Outdoor Athletics Complex at N3175 State Road Hwy 16.

Concert Choir and 9th Street Singers Concert (3 p.m., Mary of the Angels Chapel):Enjoy musical entertainment by student performers in the Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent.

Catholic Mass (5 p.m., San Damiano Chapel): A full Catholic Mass is provided for students, family members, and visitors.

Romeo and Juliet (7:30 p.m., Fine Arts Center Main Theatre): Discounted tickets are available for purchase through the Office of Campus Activities. Information regarding discounted ticket will be mailed to family members in early September. Regularly priced tickets are also available for purchase through the Fine Arts Center box office.        

Team Trivia (9 p.m., Reinhart Center Boardroom): Teams of 3-5 compete to see who knows the most useless knowledge. Top three winning teams receive gift cards.
