Information for Parents
Viterbo University is committed to helping your student be successful. There are many support resources available at the University, but sometimes the problem is getting students to ask for the help they need when asking for support is difficult. Even if your student understands they need help, finding the right person or place to seek that assistance can seem challenging.
From registration to graduation, The Center for Student Success is one source of academic support for your student. Maybe your student needs help with their transition to the University, or maybe they are confused about which major to choose. Maybe your student is struggling with their coursework, and you need a place to send your student for guidance. The Center for Student Success will provide the academic support needed.
The Center for Student Success works with students through advising, the Starfish Early Alert program, and the Drop-In Help Office to assist students as they complete their degrees. The Center also works with students experiencing academic difficulty or who are on probation. A few of the specific services The Center provides students are:
- First-year and second-year advising
- Supplemental advising for all students
- Advising for students in undergraduate adult degree completion programs
- Early Alert outreach
- Registration assistance
- Major/minor selection
- Academic support for students on probation
- Transfer student transition
- Referrals to support services
The Center for Student Success is found on the third floor of Murphy Center in room 337.
