The performance by Lula Washington Dance Theatre, which was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre, has been postponed due to the extremely cold weather.
Celebrate the bombastic 1980s with the rock music anthems of the decade as the 10th anniversary tour of Rock of Ages comes to the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Register for the Starry Night event Friday, Feb. 27 at VU After Dark will be hosting a light and laser show set to popular music at the UW-L Planetarium. The event is free and transportation will be provided.


Attention Students: Today, Feb. 23, you will receive an email entitled “Win Prizes with Viterbo University and the ACHA-NCHA Survey.” Students are encouraged to complete the survey in one sitting, which usually takes 20 minutes. All students who submit a survey will be automatically entered in a random drawing for prizes, including a 32-inch TV and gift cards. In recognition of Eating Disorders Awareness Week, health services will offer information and screening for eating disorders Tuesday, Feb. 24 in the Student Union from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and from 1–2 p.m. in the Mathy Center Lobby, and Wednesday, Feb. 25  from 9–10 a.m. in the School of Nursing Building Lobby.

Gluten-Free Interactive Cooking Classes: Viterbo nutrition/dietetic students and interns will be conducting interactive cooking classes to inform those with Celiac disease, wheat allergy, and non-celiac gluten sensitivity on healthy, delicious food alternatives and how to prepare them. There are four sessions for community members to participate in for a fee of $10 each session. Wednesday, March 18, 12:30–2:30 p.m. and 5–7 p.m.; Thursday, March 19 from 12:30–2:30 p.m. and 5–7 p.m. Email Virginia Horth at by March 1.


Auditions will be held March 2 and March 4 for the Theatre 225 Directing Class 10-min plays. The auditions will be in three minute increments from 8 a.m.–9:20 a.m. (scheduled class time) in the Fine Arts Center La Croix Blackbox Theatre. If you have other classes at that time you cannot be considered for casting or audition. Call for Abstracts: Viterbo University’s Philosophy and Pop Culture Undergraduate Conference: All undergraduate students are invited to participate in this upcoming conference to be held on the campus of Viterbo University on Saturday, April 25. Call for Papers: Viterbo’s World Languages and Cultures Fifth Annual Latin American and Latino Studies Collaborative Workshop: Faculty members from all disciplines are invited to submit individual papers, presentations, panel or roundtable (three papers and one commentator, 500 word summary of the presentation) for consideration for this April 11 event. Students and Employees: How healthy is our transportation system? Can kids easily and safely walk or bike to school? Is it possible for senior citizens and others without cars to get to grocery stores, doctor’s offices and parks? How much time do people spend sitting in a car to get to work? The public can contribute to a new “Transportation Vision” for the City of La Crosse by attending a series of meetings Feb. 23–26 at the Myrick Center.  The completed city Transportation Vision will feed directly in to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s future plans for regional roads and highways. For a full explanation of the process and a schedule of meetings:
