Big Bang Friday

Fifty high school students participated in Viterbo’s annual Big Bang Friday Jan. 12. The event is designed to encourage high school students to explore and ultimately pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Click for more photos from the event. “Big Bang Friday is one of our science and math outreach events that allows us to reach high school juniors as they think about college,” said Tammy Clark, chemistry, chair of the event. “They become college students for the day and are introduced to what their university education will be like. We also want to show them how science and math can be used to solve real problems, and help them realize that they can do it.”
