Franciscan CORE 2019 Registration is Open

Do you know a rising 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student who has a passion for social justice? Are you interested in sharing Franciscan values with the young people of the community? Registration is underway for Franciscan CORE 2019 June 16–21.

This five-day summer social justice and theology institute offers education, experience, and reflection on Catholic Social Teaching themes and principles using a Franciscan lens. Participants learn from the religious studies and theology faculty and serve the community with current Viterbo students. Franciscan CORE seeks to develop empathetic and grounded leaders for the world and the Church through: Compassion for those on the margins, Outreach to those in need, Reflection on God’s call, and Experience of community and service.

Space is limited to 30 participants, so register early. The cost for the week is $375. If cost is a barrier for any student, there are some sponsorship funds available. For more information, or to register, contact Emily Dykman, religious studies and theology, eadykman@viterbo.edu or visit the program's website.
