[Men's Golf] V-Hawks Record NSAA's Top 36-Hole Spring to Finish Second

ONALASKA, Wis. – If the North Star Athletic Association Championships had both a fall and spring champion, the Viterbo University men's golf team would hoist a trophy. The V-Hawks fired a 36-hole total of 598, five strokes better than the field, as they finished second overall at the 72-hole event.

ONALASKA, Wis. – The Viterbo University women's golf team entered the two fall rounds of the NSAA Championships  with some ground to make up, trialing last year's champion Bellevue University. The V-Hawks improved on Tuesday dropping six strokes as they locked up second place with a 72-hole total of 1,362.

BELLEVUE, Neb. – Entering the weekend, the Viterbo University softball team was comfortably in the top half of the North Star Athletic Association standings. The V-Hawks strung together some impressive pitching performances, shutting down No. 25 Bellevue University as they took the series 3-1 to move to one game out of first place.

CHICAGO, Ill. – For their last non-conference contest of 2017, the Viterbo University baseball team had a tall task facing the University of Illinois at Chicago. The V-Hawks were within in a run across four frames but ultimately fell 9-2 to the Horizon League leaders.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – After a sweep on Thursday, the Viterbo University baseball team was in prime position to earn a series victory over Waldorf University. The V-Hawks dropped the first on Saturday, but used timely hitting to earn a game two and series victory.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – After a pair of non-conference doubleheaders, the Viterbo University softball team returned to North Star Athletic Association competition and picked up right where they left off. The V-Hawks scored 22 runs on 24 hits as they swept Waldorf University 10-3 and 12-8.

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Offense has not been a problem for the Viterbo University softball recently, but on Sunday, the V-Hawks ran into some tough pitching. Viterbo scored just three runs on the day as they fell to St. Ambrose University 8-0 and 11-2.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – So far this season, the Viterbo University softball team has been dominant at home, out-slugging each opponent that takes the field. On Thursday afternoon, the V-Hawks hit .366 in two games, but were one-upped by Cardinal Stritch University, who batted .531 and scored 28 runs in a 18-5, 10-2 sweep.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – After a tough offensive day on Friday, the Viterbo University baseball team was hoping to flip their fortunes in Saturday's doubleheader, but still could not seem to click. The V-Hawks closed the series with Mayville State University, falling 12-0 and 11-1 at the OAC.
