[Women's Soccer] Mathiowetz Named NSAA Offensive Player of the Week

MADISON, S.D. –The North Star Athletic Association Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week No. 8 edition was announced Tuesday by the conference office.  Kristin Mathiowetz (SR/Eleva, Wis.) of Viterbo (Wis.) was selected as Offensive Player-of-the-Week.  Lauren Sayler of Jamestown (N.D.) was chosen as Defensive Player-of-the-Week.

La Crosse, Wis. – After earning the number one ranking in country, the Viterbo University volleyball team took the court on a mission. With number seven ranked Dordt College standing in their way, Viterbo came out firing and used an offensive attack to secure a 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22 win.

Kansas City, Mo. – For just the second time in school history, the Viterbo University volleyball team has earned the top spot in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Top-25 Poll. With their perfect start at 17-0, the V-Hawks volleyball team found themselves staring down at everyone, claiming the top spot in the third regular season poll.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Monday, Viterbo University volleyball player Amelia Grahn (SR/Madison, Wis.) was recognized by the North Star Athletic Association, earning her second league honor of the year. That award turned into national recognition on Tuesday as Grahn was named NAIA National Setter of the Week for her performance from September 18-24.
