[Women's Soccer] Mathiowetz Named NSAA Offensive Player of the Week

MADISON, S.D. –The North Star Athletic Association Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week No. 8 edition was announced Tuesday by the conference office.  Kristin Mathiowetz (SR/Eleva, Wis.) of Viterbo (Wis.) was selected as Offensive Player-of-the-Week.  Lauren Sayler of Jamestown (N.D.) was chosen as Defensive Player-of-the-Week.

Viterbo Adds New Varsity Sports Men’s Volleyball and Competitive Dance and Cheer for 2018–19

Viterbo has added competitive dance and cheer and men’s volleyball as varsity sports, with competition set to begin in 2018–19.“We believe both these sports are great fits for Viterbo University and we are very excited for the future of both programs,” said Barry Fried, Viterbo director of athletics.Men’s volleyball continues to increase in popularity at the high school level across the Midwest, especially in larger metropolitan areas such as Milwaukee, Chicago, and Minneapolis. It is anticipated to be the next sport to receive “Championship Level” status from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). College men’s volleyball programs have been added at schools in Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois as the sport continues to grow.

Whether you’re teaching freshmen, seniors, or graduate students, there’s a chance you’ll be asking for research skills that your students are still developing. A great way to guide your students to a deeper understanding of the research process is to schedule a library instruction session with a librarian.Librarians are available to visit your classroom, whether in person or virtually through Moodle or Skype for Business. Class instruction can be formal or informal. Even one-on-one appointments can be arranged.
