Shane Rhoades spends the academic year at Viterbo University where he is a member of the Musical Theatre and Theatre faculty with his primary focus on dance. He maintains his home in New York City, where he spends his summers and breaks. This provides valuable time within the industry, and he brings his experiences and his expertise into the classroom. Shane’s career has afforded him the opportunity to perform all over the world, including Japan, Canada, Europe, Central America, and all 50 States. His Broadway credits include The Boy form Oz, starring Hugh Jackman, and he was the Associate Choreographer for How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Off-broadway he performed in FAME on 42nd Street. His national and international tours include A Chorus Line, Chicago, West Side Story, Pippin, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and …Grinch. During his time at Viterbo University, in addition to his course work, he has choreographed Shout! (director), A Chorus Line, Little Women (director), Pippin, Oklahoma!, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and West Side Story as well Assistand Director of Platinum Edition and the Coulee Kids Choir.
