At Viterbo, we recognize that it takes a village to help your student become the best they can be. The following individuals are here to serve as resources and sources of referral for you and your student. Emilio holds responsibility for coordination and promotion of worship, formation, and service opportunities to Viterbo University students and employees. He assists and coordinates Sunday and weekday Masses, all San Damiano community events and special liturgical celebrations of the university, student retreats, student food pantry, weekly activities (worship, social, bible studies, and hospitality programs for students).

Health Services provides numerous resources and services for students, including treatment of minor illness and injuries, referrals to local health care providers as needed, immunizations, lab tests, and medication dispensation. Services are provided by our full-time registered nurse in the Student Development Center.

The Career Services Office provides career counseling, internships, and post-graduation planning and assistance. A Career Prep Series is offered each semester which includes special events such as career fairs, mock interview opportunities, resume reviews, and an etiquette dinner. The office is responsible for collecting data for the first-destination survey consistently reporting 97-99% placement of our graduates.

The Academic Resource Center provides support services as students move forward in their academic courses. 93% of students used ARC services last year. Tutoring is provided in any course requested. Workshops, testing accommodations and placement testing are ARC services. Accommodations for students with a diagnosis are coordinated through the ARC. The TRIO/SSS program provides outreach and support for first generation students. The ARC staff are academic advisors for the SSS scholars and help them choose courses, look at majors and partner with them in their academic success.

The Office of Student Life includes Residence Life, Campus Activities, Orientation, Community Engagement, and special events. Student Life is a great first stop for students looking to get involved in campus life. Student Life staff offices are in the Hawk’s Nest at the corner of 9th and Franciscan Way (on the first floor of the south half of Marian Hall).

The Business Office is responsible for management of students' accounts, administration of personnel and payroll services, purchasing of goods and services, and managing the financial operations of the university. The office assists students in the following primary areas: billing services, payment receipts, enrollment confirmation, refund check processing, and IRS 1098-T reporting.

Viterbo University is committed to helping students be successful both academically and socially. From registration to graduation, the Center for Student Success is one source of academic support. The Center for Student Success works with students through advising, the Starfish Early Alert program, and the drop-in help office (Murphy 337). The Center helps advise our first-year and second-year students, provides registration assistance, major/minor selection, academic support for students on probation, transfer student transition, oversees the student emergency fund, and offers many student support programs.

Campus Safety is here to provide a safe environment for our campus by offering protection of lives and property, helping prevent crime and disorder, leading our emergency preparedness and response, and offering training on many safety related issues and concerns. A trained Viterbo University Campus Safety staff member is on duty 24/7 to patrol campus and respond to calls and emergencies.

The Viterbo University’s Counseling Services strives to provide effective and supportive counseling services that are accessible to all students enrolled in courses at Viterbo. We believe in create a welcoming and inclusive environment to promote intellectual, and emotional growth and foster personal and social learning and development. Services are free to all Viterbo University students. Walk-in hours are available daily for crisis.
