Nutrition is something that is important to every one of us, whether we think about it or not. What you eat determines how much energy you have, regulation of internal body functions, and maintenance of a healthy weight. Learn new recipes, how nutrition affects the body, and how to make the nutritious choices this week!

Nutrition Scavenger Hunt

All week long

We want to help you eat a nutritious, healthy diet! Each day, meal plans for a day (brochures) will be hidden somewhere around the Viterbo University campus. These brochures will contain recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks to add up to the recommended daily value of caloric consumption. Clues will be posted to Recreational Sports’ Facebook and Instagram accounts each morning leading you to the secret location of that day’s brochure. Each day the brochures will be available between at 8:30am and will be available throughout the week. You have until Monday at 3:00pm to collect all 5 brochures (one each day), come to the Mathy Center with your 5 brochures, show the Welcome Center attendant, and be entered in to win a $50 gift card to Piggy’s Restaurant in downtown La Crosse.. The raffle for the gift card will take place on Monday evening and the winner will be notified soon after.

Chow Down! With VU After Dark

Friday, March 24 | 9-11 p.m.

VU After Dark and Recreational Sports are co-sponsoring a food-filled event. Come with a hungry belly as you prepare a delicious meal consisting of all of the food groups. You will prepare and chow down on a full meal containing carbs, protein, and healthy fats. Door prizes will be raffled at the end of the night. Join us to chow down on a new meal!
