CWD: Is it Serious and What Can We Do? Presented by Bryan Richards

Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a growing threat to the region’s whitetail deer population and our hunting traditions. This informational session will cover disease basics, the distribution of CWD throughout North American and Wisconsin, scientific advances in assessing CWD, and potential effects on the deer herd. Bryan Richards is the Emerging Disease Coordinator at the USGS National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC) in Madison. Sponsored by the La Crosse County Conservation Alliance and the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership. Free and open to the public. No reservations required.
