WI Director of Instruction
Wisconsin Director of Instruction License #10
Viterbo University's School of Education prepares educators who are grounded in Franciscan values and possess the knowledge and skills to be reflective decision makers for the 21st century.
The Director of Instruction license goes hand in hand with a Principal's License. As the Director of Instruction, it is essential that one be knowledgeable in curriculum development, best instructional practices, and staff development. Critical district decisions are often made with the input of the Director of Instruction.
Today the Directors of Instruction are the key persons between Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment (CIA) and Principals, Teachers, Superintendents and Boards of Education. They are the glue that hold the Districts together.
The Director of Instruction License (DPI #10) involves a master's degree and the completion of nine (9) - three (3) credit courses or if you have a principal's license, the completion of two (2) - three (3) credit courses.
Viterbo presently has three cohort sites for its Director of Instruction program in La Crosse, Middleton, and Green Bay.
